If one of your monitors have stopped displaying unexpectedly, please using the following troubleshooting steps:

Check monitor status/Restart Monitor/Restart Device

  • Is there an active 'on' light for the monitor? Have you attempted to power on/off the monitor via the power button?

  • Is the monitor set to connect via 'auto' or 'HDMI/Display etc'?

  • Have you tried to restart your computer?

Check physical connections

  • Have you attempted to pull out the power and display cords for each monitor, and have you plugged them back in securely?
  • A good test is to switch the display cords (plug monitor 1 display cord in to monitor 2 and vice versa) - if the screen issue switches to your other monitor, the cable is at fault.

  • Ensure you also take out connections to your laptop/dock and plug them back in, attempting to switch ports if available.
  • Do any cables look damaged? Have you tried switching out old cables with new cables? Have you tried a replacement monitor?

Device software troubleshooting

  • Right click on the desktop of your screen to check the display settings - this will show you if the device can see the screens, and will possibly give more information about the issue.

  • At this stage it would be best to call the F1 solutions team to have a look at your laptop/desktop device - there may need to be some updates installed/reinstalled for drivers.
